In loving memory of Ellen Haran,

Ellen, born on February 5th, 1927, in Limerick, Ireland, peacefully passed away at the age of 97 on May 22nd, 2024, at Glen Rouge Community (Nursing Home) in Scarborough.

She leaves behind cherished memories for her family and relatives. Ellen was the devoted spouse of Joseph Haran and will forever be cherished by her children: John - predeceased (Janet - predeceased), Pat, Stella and Mike (Tammy) and her grandchildren John - predeceased, Melissa, Ashley, Ryan, Tyler and Malachy. Ellen now reunites with her predeceased siblings.

Having completed her nursing education in London, England, Ellen dedicated herself to a fulfilling career in Toronto. Known for her devout religious beliefs and boundless compassion, she found solace in the pages of countless books during her leisure time.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at Glen Rouge Community, with a special mention to Millie (PSW), for their unwavering care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Covenant House would be greatly appreciated. Ellen's legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She was a lovely lady with a generous heart and a wicked Irish wit and sense of humour. I will never forget her and Mr. Haran's kindness to me when I was a growing up. She was always welcoming and always made me laugh. My condolences to Mr. Haran, Pat, Stella and Mike and their families as well as extended family and friends.
