In memory of

Elizabeth Rennie

February 14, 1943 -  August 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Diane Rennie on August 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Born in Toronto on February 14, 1943, Beth lived a life full and blessed life.

Beth was the beloved wife of Brian Rennie and a devoted mother to Dale Nevison (Louis), Laura Scott (Tim), Michael Rennie (Allie), and Sheilagh Rennie. She was a cherished grandmother to Madeleine (Mike), Daniel, and Hunter. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Sheila Esson and Ian Esson (Susan), and as a treasured aunt, aunti-grandma, and dog-grandma to many. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mabel Esson, her infant brother Bruce, and her dear sisters, Susie and Mavis (Skip).

Some of Beth’s fondest memories were from her childhood days spent on her grandparents’ farm, where she developed a lifelong love of animals and the outdoors. She found joy in the simple beauty of nature and was happiest at the family cottage on Porcupine Lake. Beth also had a passion for travel and especially cherished her winters spent in Naples, Florida. Above all, Beth’s greatest joy was her family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her Personal Support Workers for their compassionate care and support over the past several years since Beth’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

She was a wonderful person, and will be deeply missed as part of our family. The few times we met Beth and Brian were indeed pleasant and generated lovely memories as we were graciously accepted into their family in both of their homes. Beth was a stylish and classy lady in every respect. I remember overnighting with them for many hours awaiting the arrival of Hunter.
