On this day, Elena Pena passed away peacefully in her sleep at our home at the age of 82. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Felino Pena Jr., she is cherished and remembered by her children Connie, Elvira, Virginia, Primicita, and Felino, and by her sixteen grandchildren: Jonathan, Tamara, Stephanie, Michael, Cyan, Phoenix, Hunter, Terra, Reece, Jude, Jazmin, Noah, Ronnie, Willie Jr., Wyrlo, and Wilcon. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Kai, Aila, Kaileen, Zyron, Ian, Are-Lauini, Willie Jr., Kiri, and Wyuna. Elena will be deeply missed by her many friends and extended family.

After a fulfilling 30-year career at St. Michael’s, Elena retired to enjoy life surrounded by her loved ones. A kind and compassionate woman, she was filled with both faith and love. Following a long illness, she is now at peace.

A heartfelt thank you to her many wonderful caregivers—especially Yetnayet, Florence, Azed, and Makda—who cared for Elena with such love and devotion, as if she were their own mother.
