VIDEO is now available under the Media tab.

Eleanor (Wing Sheung) Seto (nee Lee), 86, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:35 p.m. after suffering a heart attack and passing away in Scarborough General Hospital, Ontario, Canada. She was born on October 25, 1934 in Canton, China and raised in Hong Kong.

Eleanor’s husband Stewart (Chew Wai) Seto predeceased her after 54 years of marriage on November 8, 2013. She will be immensely missed by her sister Wing Na Li, her two daughters, Frances Wu (nee Seto), Loretta Wiebe (nee Seto) and her two grandsons Bradley and Austin Wu.

When Eleanor came to Canada in 1959, she initially worked as a waitress, then moved onto Simpsons Department Store and lastly as an Insurance Underwriter for Commercial Union Life Assurance until she retired. Subsequently she had the opportunity to operate a Lottery Kiosk with her family for 9 years. Eleanor was truly a loving, caring, very hard-working, thoughtful, incredibly generous mother and person. She enjoyed her church group, growing Chinese vegetables in her backyard garden, cooking, watching sports and sewing. Forever in our hearts. Rest Easy Mom.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions will be in place and visitation attendance will be upon request. Family and friends are welcome to view a livestream on Monday, March 15th from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Link will be available on Monday March 15th.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Eleanor (Wing Sheung) Seto to The Scarborough Health Network Foundation or St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation. Please click on ‘Make a Donation’ below.

Thessalonians 4:13-14
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
