In memory of

Eleanor Joyce Dean

July 24, 1925 -  March 14, 2019

Eleanor Joyce Dean (nee Kennedy)
July 24, 1925 - March 14, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Dean on March 14, 2019 in her 94th year, following complications after emergency surgery at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.
She leaves behind, son George (late wife Theresa) (Diane), son Jim (Geraldine) and daughter Susan. Also, loving Grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, Greg (Melissa) and Amy.

Eleanor was born and grew up in Barrie, the 10th of 13 children, moved to Toronto and raised her family in Streetsville.

She spent over 30 very successful years, as a much loved school secretary at Russell Langmaid Public School in Streetsville, and Millers Grove in Meadowvale.

She enjoyed a very active life, including being a crossword puzzle enthusiast, euchre club, jigsaw puzzles, bowling and having her own independence driving. She particularly enjoyed coffee club with her friends at the condominium, and of course was the most dedicated Toronto Blue Jays' fan.
Mom and Dad enjoyed summer vacations with family at Sparrow Lake, Washago and Muskoka, as well as winters at their home in Dunedin, Florida cheering on the spring training of the Jays in her retirement.

As an alternative to sending flowers, please consider donations to the Jays Care Foundation or charity of your choice.

Eleanor will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
