With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elaine Peters (Richardson) in her 81st year. Elaine passed away unexpectedly in the arms of her loving husband of 43 years early Wednesday morning on July 10 in Midland, ON.

Elaine leaves behind her husband Ralph, the Love of her life. Loving mother of Tim Richardson (Debbie) , Tina Vanooteghem (Reiner) and Lori Orzechowski. Proud grandmother of Kirsten, Brianna, Dylan, Maddison and Heidi. Beloved sister of Ken(Anita), the late Frank (Leon), the late Bob (Cash), Ruth, Linda, Harry (Susan), John (the late Louise) and sister-in-law Susanne and the late Margie/Jack. She will be forever cherished by her many nieces and nephews.

Elaine was the most loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and best friend to all who knew her. Elaine was everyone’s favourite person and made everyone she met feel special. She could go anywhere during the course of the day and come back with a new best friend.

Her positivity towards life was exceptional and she lived life to the fullest. Elaine was most happy when she was together with family; at their beautiful home on Ninth Line in Markham, at the cottage on Farlain Lake, at their retirement home in Florida, their peaceful condo on Georgian Bay or anywhere in between.

Our hearts are forever broken.
