In memory of

Eileen Ann Nicholson

December 17, 1934 -  February 23, 2020

Passed away February 23, 2020. Born December 17, 1934 in Brighton, England. Daughter of John P. Doyle and Catherine A. Doyle (nee short). Immigrated to Canada in 1956 along with her sister Kathleen Davey (who settled in Sherbrooke, Quebec). Eileen met and married Harold Cornelius Nicholson in Toronto. (He was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia). They raised their family in Scarborough before retiring to East Bay, Nova Scotia in 1998. Loving mother to Linda D'Angelo, Deborah Aceto (Joseph), Mark, predeceased by son Peter, Michael (Shelley), Bernadette, Paul, and Andrew. Wonderful grandmother to Frank (Sue), Rocco (Anya), Lisa (Justin), Christina (Garett), Michelle (David), Matthew (Rebecca), Breanne (Brian), Courtney ( Brendan), Lucas, Kyle, Tara (Sam), Sarah, James (Ally) & Abigail. Dear great grandmother to Nicholas, Rocco, Hannah, Brooklyn, Lukas, Jett & Jack. Sister-in-law to Anne Porter, predeceased by sister-in-law Lorna Casey. Will be sadly missed by family, friends and all who knew her. Eileen loved and excelled at all kinds of crafts (knitting, crocheting, rug hooking, sewing, quilting, porcelain doll making). She was a fabulous baker, but her favourite hobby was her garden. She was a member of the garden club in East Bay, Nova Scotia and in 2006 won first prize for her floral arrangements made from flowers from her own garden. A private family service will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery on Sunday, October 3, 2021. She will be lovingly remembered...forever in our hearts.
