September 23, 1931 - August 31, 2024

Dearly missed by family and friends, Eiko Ito died on August 31 at the age of 92. Survived by husband Jim, daughters Amy and Joyce, siblings Toyoko and Yoshihiro and many other loved ones. Predeceased by siblings Shigekazu, Masao, Masaji Shoji, Shigeaki and Yoshiko. Thanks to Dr. Watson, nurse Julie and all the support workers for their kind care. Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery on Friday, September 20 at 1 pm followed by a service at 2 pm. If desired, please consider a donation to the Toronto Buddhist Church, Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice.

I have fond childhood memories of my Auntie Eiko as a funny, generous, “cool”, and talented lady. My cousins and I could always look forward to opening her gifts, sometimes practical, but often just what we wanted. I still have the intricate Barbie sweater she knitted. We were sad when she moved east to be happy with Uncle Jim. Amy and Joyce, you were lucky to have had her as your mom. Love, Lorie
