Edward Urquhart,32, of Bowmanville, tragically passed on July 10, 2021.
Edward was a force of nature, from surviving a horrific accident in 2016, Edward went on to be an accomplished para kayaker, Canadian para powerlifting record holder, long drive competitor, and para golf medalist. Although Edward has had many achievements, Edward's greatest accomplishment was being a loving son, partner, and father.

We first met Eddie in Toronto at the 2017 Olympic/ Paralympic search. He was a strong and charismatic guy that seemed just as eager to be involved in sport as I was. Like myself, Eddie very much included his family, Andrea and his two boys, Eric and Joshua as a part of his Paralympic journey, which instantly made a connection between us and strongly believed in leading by example and treating all teammates as family. We have lost more than just a teammate, we have lost our brother and I hope that all CKC/ CKO members remember Eddie as the man with the iron will and exceptional passion for life. We love you Eddie, may you rest in eternal peace.

God gifted us a warrior that became a superhero amongst his peers and others alike. You stood for excellence, and with that excellence you demanded dedication and truth.
Eddie flash, you will be missed in the physical, and celebrated in eternal memories.
As long as one of us who knew you and remembers your name is alive, you will never be forgotten.

I became friends with Eddie through powerlifting . He was a very easy guy to like front the start . He was an accomplished athlete and a dedicated family man - two great qualities .

He will be greatly missed by me.
