Edward Sawh passed away after a sudden illness on May 25, 2025 in Mississauga.

Ed was born in Charity, Essequibo, Guyana on August 17, 1959. He was the fourth of ten children of his parents Lincoln and Narainie. Ed attended primary and high school in Essequibo before immigrating to Canada to attend post-secondary education.

Ed’s true passion was gardening. Each year he could hardly wait for Spring to arrive; he had a green thumb and could make anything grow. He especially enjoyed growing a variety of hot peppers and tomatoes, tending to the flower beds, and ensuring the lawn was green and free of weeds. As Summer came to a close, his next project was making tomato sauce. He spent countless hours outdoors gardening, laughing and “gyaffing” with the neighbours, and listening to music if the Blue Jays game was not being broadcast – he was one of the Jays’ biggest fans.

Edward is survived by his wife, Ann, and children, Arianne and Marisa.
