Following a courageous battle with Parkinson's, Edward passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022 at Mississauga Hospital. Beloved husband to Krystyna Kustra. Cherished and devoted father to Mark Kustra and Elizabeth Hrubesz (Marek). The world's best Dziadzius (grandfather) to Gabriella and Kasia Hrubesz and Sydney Kustra. Dear brother to Krystyna Kwiatkowska of Poland. Predeceased by his parents Antoni & Maria and all his brothers - Kazimierz, Marian and Tadeusz Kustra.

Edward was born in Tymienica, Poland and built a great life in Canada with his neighbour and childhood sweetheart, Krystyna. His adventure in Canada started in Oshawa, Ontario, where he joined the church choir and became an active member of Sw. Jadwiga parish, along with starting his career in GM. In retirement, he built a home in Ottawa to be close to his grandchildren, enjoyed being a member of Sw. Jacek parish church choir, working outdoors in his garden and in nature and loved spending quality time with his family and friends. Finally downsizing and retiring to Brampton a few years ago, he became a part of another Polish community in St. Eugene De Mazenod parish. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and close friends.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A loyal and true friend. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and many friends in Canada and in Poland.


In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations to hospices of your choice and the Parkinson's Society would be greatly appreciated.
