Edward Peter Levon Keesickquayash
December 21, 2013 - March 19, 2017
Our son Edward returned home to the Spirit World after three years of struggling with complex medical conditions. He was a very happy little boy who had so much strength and determination. He defied many odds and astounded many doctors. In his short life he brought together his family from Manitoba and Ontario. He was loved by so many and stole the hearts of his numerous Aunties, Uncles, and Cousins and friends. It saddens our hearts that Edward is no longer physically in this world with us. However it comforts us to know he is running and playing with his Kokom Ethel (Little) Keesickquayash, Shoomis Frank Keesickquayash, Grandpa Harry Smith, Auntie Noreen Hilda Keesickquayash, and his many Ancestors who have always been with him while he was with us.
In his passing he left behind a legacy of Honesty, Kindness and Love. He reminded us to make every moment count. Edward will always be in our hearts and the hearts of his siblings Chelsea, Robert, Kate-Lynn, Louisa, his niece Larissa, his Nokom Martha, and his surviving Uncles and Aunties Lloyd (Ida), Frank (Ruby), Ralph (Liliana), Smokey (Donna), Jim (Debbie), Harry Jr., Ida Joyce, Ingrid (Terry), Karen (Thomas), Loretta, Maureen (Chris), Sonia, Norma, and his many cousins.
Thank you for the Love and Prayers sent by family of Red Sucker Lake, Manitoba; Mishkeegogamang First Nations, Ontario; God’s Lake Narrows, Manitoba; Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
We wish to express our appreciation for the care given to Edward during his life and send our acknowledgements to the Medical staff and Doctors of Sick Kids Hospital; Dr. Iain Jamieson and staff of Peterborough Regional Health Centre; Five Counties Children’s Centre; Central East Community Care Access Centre; We Care Nursing Services; Ronald McDonald House Toronto, and the many other caring support services who have worked with Edward. The care and love Edward received during his life time here allowed us more time to create memories that will forever live in our hearts. Thank you.
