In memory of

Eddie Chan

June 1, 1976 -  July 28, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Eddie Chan, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, friend and respected colleague. Eddie, at the age of 48, left us much too soon, due to an unexpected cardiac event. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Eddie was a loving husband to his wife, Doreen, and an adoring father to their two sons, Carter and Brayden. He will be sorely missed by his parents, Peter and Cendy, and his sister, Angie.

A well-respected and accomplished CEO, and consummate social butterfly, Eddie’s colleagues, family and friends will forever remember him as the most generous person they have ever met, someone who truly lived life to the fullest, and someone who made a lasting impact on every life he touched. He had a heart of gold, always ensuring that everyone around him had what they needed, often putting others’ needs before his own.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a GoFundMe fundraiser that has been established to support the future of Eddie’s beloved children, Carter and Brayden. Your generous contributions will help secure their educational future, providing them with the stability and opportunities they need to thrive despite this difficult time. The family deeply appreciates your support and love as they navigate through this challenging period. More information about the GoFundMe fundraiser can be found by clicking the "Make a Donation" link at the very bottom of this page or visiting https://gofund.me/12f04696

Should you still wish to send flowers, the family will be ordering flowers from Jade Garden: https://jadegardenmarkham.ca - (647) 727-3450.

Eddie may be gone from our sight, but he will forever be in our hearts.

I am saddened to hear about Eddie’s passing today. As a former employee of Cendy and Peter’s at the restaurant in Dauphin in my youth, Eddie had already moved away to attend University (I recall). His trips home to visit were a buzz around the restaurant with Angie eager to show off her brother and the whole family beaming with pride. I have kept in contact through social media over the years and I can’t imagine the hole he has left behind for you all. Sending my condolences and a story about a families love for you.

You will be missed Eddie. I will keep the memories of our friendship and remember your sense of humour, kindness, and determination. You have always open your doors and invited me in to your home for light board games or just hanging out. You have achieved much in Life that many of us can only dreamed about and you have such a lovely family that can be seen from your wonderful FB photos shared over the years. Thanks for sharing and letting us into a glimpse of your life even though we did not have a chance to hang out together. You will be forever remembered.

My deepest condolences to the Chan Family.
