In memory of

Earl Cameron Grant

April 4, 1928 -  January 29, 2023

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Earl Cameron Grant completed his race and was promoted to glory to be with his Lord and Saviour whom he loved and served faithfully. He was 94 years old.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Georgina; his children Ruth Venafro (Saverio), Heather Davis (Kenneth), and Ian Grant (Cindy).

He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor (2000), his son Lloyd (2013)(Betty), his son Cameron (2018)(Cheryl) and his grandson Shawn (2003). He was also the last of the Grant boys: Roy, Arthur and Earl.

Earl was the proud and very loved Papa to 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Every one of them adored him.

He had a wonderful extended family and many, many friends.

Earl's first profession was that of an electrician. He worked for many years with two of his brothers-in-law, Orville Neal and Gerry Laing at Neal Electric in Oakville.

In 1967 Earl moved his family to Toronto and began his studies at Central Baptist Seminary while also becoming Pastor Grant to his first church, Keelesdale Baptist Church. He went on to Ennerdale Road Baptist and finally, to Hilltop Baptist in Bolton, where he retired after 16 years. Even after retirement he continued to serve in a pastoral capacity at Thistletown Baptist Church in Toronto and finally to the seniors at Faith Baptist Church in Oakville.

He had a great love for people and particularly, in his later years, for seniors. He would visit in homes, seniors homes and hospitals and put his love into action for them, delivering plants, goodies, company and caring to each one, always accompanied by Georgina.

Earl loved his walks by the lake and at the Oakville Mall where he would stop and greet people along the way, always sharing his love of his Saviour.

His presence here will be incredibly missed, but he suffers no more and is happy now in the arms of Jesus which gives so much peace.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Faith Baptist Church Parking Lot Project which was close to his heart. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.

Earl had been in my life since I was a child and a dear friend of my family Barb and Keith Vernum.
He always teased me and I will always remember his laugh. We spent time at Hilltop Church, Keelesdale and Ennerdale Rd Church.
Lots of games and laughs

John & Gini Tomlinson (Friends of the family - married by Pastor Earl Grant)

Entered February 2, 2023 from Sutton West Ontario

This man of God and their family were instrumental in helping Gini and I individually and as a family(including our 5 children). He married Gini and I when the Christian Church was wrestling with divorce and remarriage and Biblically endorsed our right to marry. He and his wife Eleanor were a tremendous help in helping us blend a family of 5 children into a unified family that now has 16 grandchildren and 6 solid marriages. I could go on and on…….. Thank you Pastor Earl C Grant you are a great a reflection of what it means to be a servant of Jesus Christ. Gini and I and family salute you in a life well lived. Looking forward to a Great Reunion in the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!!
