In Loving Memory of Dragos Remus Paraschivescu

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Dragos Remus Paraschivescu, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, who passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Born on July 23, 1966, in Bucharest, Romania, to Remus and Cecilia Paraschivescu, Dragos built a life defined by curiosity, passion, and dedication. A talented software developer, he found joy and purpose in the world of programming.

In 1992, Dragos moved to Toronto, Canada, where he began a new chapter. His journey later took him to Charlotte, South Carolina, in 1998, before he returned to Toronto two years later, a place which has since earned a special place in his heart.

In 2001, Dragos married Anca. Together, they built a warm family, raising two sons, George (born 2007) and Eric (born 2011), who were the center of his world.

Beyond his work and family, Dragos was an avid sailor whose love for the sea led him on countless voyages across the Caribbean and beyond. He was a passionate participant in sailing regattas in Toronto and Oakville.

Dragos’ sudden passing has left his family and friends heartbroken.
