In memory of

Dr. Robert David Ewert

October 30, 1945 -  June 12, 2016

With profound sadness, our family announces the death of Robin after a brief illness. Loving husband of Barbara and father of Robyn and Heather and brother of Susan. Special companion of Shelby and Bailey. Much loved, he will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Many thanks to the wonderful care at the Trillium Health Centre. Special thanks to dear friend, Dr. Howe Sim as well as the medical, nursing and care staff. Dr. Ewert enjoyed a 40 year career as a family physician, emergency doctor and coroner. In all these years, he touched thousands of lives; friends, family co-workers and patients. He will be greatly missed.

I am extremely saddened to hear of Dr. Robins passing. He was a very special man and doctor. I have many fond memories of our times at Loon Lake and the many, many dinners at Barb and Robins house. I grew up with having Dr.Robin and his family in my life and remember always having a great time together. Dr.Robin always played Elton John when we were at their house and one of my earliest memories is listening to the Made in England album during dinner. I still to this day love Elton John and attribute this to Dr.Robin and my dad Peter. Dr.Robin was also my childhood doctor and always took such great care of us. He was there when I broke my first bone (of many) and always made me feel well taken care of. Barb, Robyn, Heather and family I am so sorry for your loss and know I am thinking of you all. I'm so sorry I cannot attend the funeral but you are all in my thoughts during this difficult time. May Dr.Robin rest in peace.
