September 28, 1925 -  August 5, 2016

Passed away peacefully at home in her 91st year. Dorothy is now reunited with her beloved husband Edward George and her cherished son Keith Douglas. Survived by her loving daughters Karen (Gerald) Anderson and Kathryn Smith. Proud grandmother of Paul (Shannon), Sarah (Salomon) and Emily. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Mary Smith and her sisters Marjorie Rule and Bernice Liversidge. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and extended family. The family wishes to thank the team at Spectrum Health Care, special thanks to Connie for her exceptional care, as well as Dr. Jennifer Hunter for her compassion. Family and friends will be received at the York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd. (north of Sheppard Ave., 1st street west of Yonge St.), 416-221-3404, on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 1 - 2 p.m. Memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. Interment at York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation or SickKids Foundation - Lupus Research c/o Dr. Earl Silverman.

Aunt Dorothy was a very special lady. She was such a great friend to our mom. Not many people have such lifetime friendships like theirs. Her smile brightened many lives. We know have greatly you will miss her. Sorry that her last days were filled with such pain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
