Dorothy was a very kind, giving person. When my children were small, she always had time for them and of course her choice of books for them were excellent.
Bill and Dorothy had a long and loving relationship, with time for travelling and caring for their grandchildren. She had a lovely laugh and beautiful smile, always made one feel special and welcome. When sadness comes, remember the smiles.
With love,
Betty
My daughters, Marina and Natasha Mulligan and I, would like to express our sincere condolences.
Dorothy Prosser taught me how to write. She was, more than any other, the teacher who best exemplified the finest things in teaching. I am honoured to have spent a couple of years as her student.
I have written about her more than once. An example is:

Dear Mrs Prosser,
It was an honour and a pleasure to have known and to have been taught by you. Your influence was strong and sincere, and my favourite recollection is that, for 2 years in a row, I just showed up at your class door on the 1st day of school and asked if you'd be my teacher again. Bill, deepest condolences to you and everyone in your families, and thank you for that wonderful day of 'how to make a movie' on the Toronto Island. You're both unforgetable people.
Dorothy wa a wonderful teacher to me. She was my all time favourite teacher at Laurier. She was an inspiration and made English come alive for me. She was always interested in my music and had the gift of making one feel special. She will be missed. Thank you, Dorothy, for your inspiration, interest, love and devotion to your students. You were wonderful.
