It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Dorothy Jane Redman, age 77.
Her life taken peacefully on November 28, 2025 while in Centenary Hospital (Scarborough Health Network).

Dorothy was born in East York Township, Ontario on December 28, 1947.

Dorothy will be missed dearly by her immediate and extended family.
She leaves behind her children, Wayne (son), Gail (daughter), Erik (son-in law), grandchildren; Ryan, Alex and Emma. Her absence also felt strongly by ex-husband, Cliff of over 40 years of marriage.

Dorothy was a wonderful, kind quiet soul with a beautiful smile.
She was most happy and fulfilled being around her family, friends and pets. Her love of animals; with her devotion to her cats of over the years, the late Fluffy and later Tiger, and past dog, Faith.

She always enjoyed music; and would be found humming and clapping to the sounds around her.

She was a breast cancer survivor; who had suffered a long term struggle with Dementia from 2015.

She lived most of her life at her own home in Scarborough; before relocating to Abbeylawn (Retirement home) in 2019. Abbeylawn was her final home; that provided a secure, supportive compassionate environment providing excellent care to her everyday needs. The staff of Abbeylawn have been greatly saddened by her loss.

In honour of her passing; a funeral service has been arranged on Friday December 5, 2025 at Pine Hills Funeral Centre and Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
