In memory of

Donna Roberts

March 3, 1937 -  July 20, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Roberts. Donna went home to be with the Lord on July 20 after a brief illness. Her daughter was by her side.

Donna is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Bruce Roberts. She leaves behind her grandsons Noah and Isaac Gordon, her son-in-law Erik Gordon and her daughter Karen Gordon. She will be missed by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Winston and Sharon Roberts, by her nieces and nephews and by her many friends.

Donna treasured her Belleville family of friends and had many fond memories of her hometown. She was a proud member of the Proctor&Gamble community for several decades. The relationships she cultivated within various church families were also very dear to her.

Donna was kind and generous of spirit. She used her humour to connect with those around her and had an infectious laugh and gentle smile. Donna was always hopeful and optimistic. As a loyal and steadfast friend, Donna leaves behind a rich legacy of love. She was cherished by many.

Donna spent her final year living with Karen and her family. We are grateful to have had that precious time together. Despite her age, Donna remained ever youthful and embraced many new experiences, while making friends in her recent home of Stouffville, Ontario.

Her grandsons will miss her caring inquiries, her supportive presence and her spontaneous hugs. Her son-in-law will miss her witty insights and her loving concern for her family. Her daughter will miss her in every way possible.

It is a shock to say good-bye at this time, but we are comforted by the reality that Donna, although absent from us, is present with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She is now enjoying the company of the many beloved friends and family who have gone before. She is truly having the time of her life.

“I sing because I’m happy. I sing because I’m free. His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.” Hymn 1905

Donna and I worked together at P&G for many years. I remember when her daughter Karen was born and the joy that brought to her and Bruce.

Donna always had a smile on her face and was a friendly helpful person to all.

So sorry to hear about her death.
