Donald William Dye
April 17, 1939 - November 30, 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don on November 30, 2021 at Winbourne Park in Ajax, at the age of 82 with his loving wife , Ralda, and son, Peter, by his side .
Don was the beloved husband of Ralda (nee Green) for 63 years. Don was the loving father of Janice (Mick Szucs) and Peter (Shannon Causey). He dearly loved his grandchildren, Daniel Wallace (Nazlee), Brendan Wallace (Kasey), Mikaiah Szucs, Hudson, Noelle and Ava Dye and his great grandchildren, Olivia and Noah.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Rhoda. He was the dear brother of Audrey Millar (Tony Schoonberg) and Lynda Leroux (Michael Leroux). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Don was an employee of Ontario Hydro for 36 years. A kind and generous loving family man, Don will be greatly missed.
The Dye family is extremely grateful to the excellent staff at Winbourne who provided kind and compassionate care for Don in his final months.
In lieu of flowers, kindly feel free to make a donation to Parkinson's Canada, the MS Society or any other charity you so choose.

Dad

A true gentleman has lived and passed.

A truly gentle man.

He put family and love above all.

Loved his wife immeasurably.

He strove to improve … always . To be the best he could be.

Husband . Father . Grandfather . Great grandfather . Brother . Uncle. Friend .

He would not seek attention . In life. Nor would he want it now. That was his unselfish nature.

He never wanted to be a burden or inconvenience . And he never was .

An awful disease attempted to take away his dignity. But he won. Because he endured and lived throughout the debilitating changes in the most heroic and dignified manner possible.

May your memories of Don bring you happiness and joy. And mostly love .

Forget the disease . Recall his days when he bowled, danced , threw a baseball and cottaged. Fill in your own memories.

For that is what he would have wanted.

Be healthy and live life.

Don did that and was happy and would want that for you

And he would not want you to be unhappy now.

Be happy for his life lived.

For it was a successful and loving life.

Donald Dye will be missed . But forever remembered in our hearts…

…With great love

Your Son
