In memory of

Dominique Marie Croteau

1992 to 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much beloved daughter Dominique on February 11, 2021. Dominique will be missed by her parents, John and Janine, her brother Alain, her many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, her Cousins’ children and her pet rabbit Sambuca.
Nique or Dom as she was known to family and close friends was a bright, beautiful part of our family.
She was caring and showed her love frequently. She offered her support to friends and could be counted as very loyal.
Dominique graduated as a Nail Technician in 2020 and was well on her way to successfully establishing her own business. Even though the Covid pandemic slowed down her business, she quickly adapted by selling beautiful nail sets that her clients could easily apply themselves. She was so excited about setting up her business and thrilled to take it to the next level by renting a studio space.
Dominique was known for her love of animals, bringing several pets into our lives. One of her last acts of kindness was to leave a treat under our front yard tree for a neighbourhood wild rabbit.
Dominique struggled with her ADHD, anxiety and addiction for several years and was recently on the road to recovery.
Dominique is predeceased by her grandparents, Mary and Des Croteau and Violet and Anthony Mendonca as well as her adored cousin Justin.
May she now sleep in peace.

In light of the current COVID 19 Pandemic we will be having a virtual Service on Friday, February 19th at 3:00pm. There will be a link available at the top of this page 5 min prior to the service on Friday. If you are unable to attend you can view the service at anytime at a later date. The service will be posted under the media tab.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice in Dominique’s honour would be appreciated.

I wish we could have spent the rest of our life together. I would give anything to be able to see her again and change this last month of our lives so I could be there for the amazing woman I love. She was caring, compassionate, and absolutely the most beautiful woman in the world. I was lucky enough to spend the last 10 months with her on the road to recovery and only wanted the best for her. Relationships aren't perfect but she was. We both had a hard time showing love but we both knew how much we cared for each other. There are no words to describe the angel I saw in her and can only hope she knows that I always will remember her for the beautiful person she was as a child and grown woman I grew to love more than anyone I’ve ever met and how proud I was for how far she had come in life when I reconnected with her.

It is so tragic to hear about such a beautiful soul. Even though I haven’t seen her in such a long time it still feels so devastating. I want to give my love to John, Janine, and Alain for this difficult time. All my love. Rest In Peace you wonderful woman.
