In memory of

Dobrislav Stojanovski

March 20, 1929 -  August 10, 2021

Dobrislav Stojanovski born in Dragosh, Macedonia passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2021 at the age of 92 at Woodhaven LTC Residence with his 2 daughters by his side. He is survived by his wife Nevena of 70 years. Predeceased by his father Risto and mother Marija. Dear father to Atinka, Mary (Chris) Proud Grandfather to Linda (Steve), Kris, Christopher, Jenifer (George), Nicolle (Brandon), Danielle (Anderson) and Brian. Great Grandfather to Isabella, Maya and Spiro. Proud uncle to many nieces & nephews.

Dobri was a proud entrepreneur and ran a successful Barber shop business for 33 years in the heart of Cabbage town where he resided with his family after arriving in Canada in 1958 as well as a landlord to properties acquired after many years of hard work. A proud immigrant he and his wife worked tirelessly to provide a good life for their family & were very proud of their accomplishments. He endured a lot of hardship in his younger years and always said he never wanted his daughters to suffer the way he did. He went on to fulfill that promise and was the most generous father ever.
He loved to go to the gym, take walks and was very social making friends wherever he went. After retiring in January of 1992 he and his wife travelled to many parts of the world including a trip to Australia and a return trip to their native Macedonia. Known for their warm hospitality,  the house was always full with family and friends. He will be forever missed.

Heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Markham Stouffville hospital for appreciating his sense of humour & making him feel special. As well as the staff at Woodhaven for making him feel comfortable in his last hours.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice or simply performing an act of kindness in Dad’s memory.
