Dimitrios Trichas

It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of Dimitrios Trichas at the age of 83. He passed suddenly at home on January 9, 2024.

Dimitrios was born in Larissa Greece, in the town of Falani, and immigrated to Canada in 1964.

Loving husband of Mary Trichas, who passed in May of 2013.

He is survived by his son, Konstantinos Trichas, daughter-in-law Sophia, and grandchildren, Mariam, Zachariya and Sami. His son, Alexantros Trichas, daughter-in-law Liliana, and granddaughters, Larissa and Thalia. His daughter Kate Karas, and grandchildren, Anthony and Alexia.

He was a very kind, thoughtful, gentle, generous man, who made an impact on the lives of many. His presence will be greatly missed by all.

Alex,
Just wanted to say we love you and wish you joy in the memories you have of your father and I know you have many that he leaves you with. Cherish them as I know you will. We carry our own of him and especially feel blessed and privileged that we were able to spend some time with him in Greece as he reminisced his youth in Skiathos.
He will be missed by many that he has touched.
Are thoughts and prayers are always with you and your family, our family.

We were so saddened to hear about the passing of Theio Jim. He was such a wonderful man, generous with his words and time; a wonderful and knowledgeable conversationalist.

John has so many fond memories as a boy, going to his theio and theia’s house. He recalls it being one of his favourite places to go as a child, and not just because of the fish tank. ❤️
