My deepest sympathies for the loss of Dimitri. Dimitri was a quiet, humble, kind and disciplined runner who shared his excitement for the track with other club members. Rest peacefully, Dimitri.
Dimitri was a part of our club for three decades. We will miss his infectious smile and love of life.
I will miss you and our conversations at breakfast after Thursday morning track runs. They were lively and spirited, always good natured. Run in peace, my friend.
Dmitri and I were friends that ran together (on the track), talked sports nutrition smack, and shared many a jovial breakfast together. He holds the all time 400 relay record at the Los Gatos all comers meet, with his blistering sub one minute 400 pace. My parents are buried in St Jacobs and Brantford. Perhaps one day I can pay my respects and visit my dear friend at rest.

We were blessed to know Dimitri for 25 years as a dear friend and fellow runner. We enjoyed having him share Thanksgiving meals and fellowship at our home. He was family to us and will be deeply missed. Thanksgiving will never be the same without him. He was kind, compassionate and a dedicated and talented runner. Danny will miss his weekly Tuesday Peet's coffee sessons and the many stimulating conversations. Dimitri was a brilliant man and freely shared knowledge on many topics including nutrition, running, exercise, health, and lots of data and science. He was very kind to our disabled son Mikey, and to all of our family who enjoyed his many stories which created laughter. Dimitri was very modest about his many awards and scientific achievements helping to save lives. Dimitri touched so many lives and we miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.
