Dianne Jenkins

May 21, 1946 - July 23, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne Nelia Jenkins (nee Love) after a long, courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday July 23, 2016 in her 71st year. Predeceased by brother Glen Douglas, parents Dorothy and Neil Love and late husband Richard Jenkins. Lovingly remembered by partner Ted Sokol, daughter Stephanie Jenkins-Moss (Terry), sister Patricia Forester (Bob), their families and many friends. Visitation will take place at Meadowvale Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, Ontario on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral to be held at same location on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment and reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Sunnybrook Foundation or The Salvation Army.

Dianne was one of the strongest, determined and positive people I have ever met. She never looked back, always forward and cared for her family and friends fiercely. Her thoughtfulness and caring were unsurpassed. Over the pasts 20 years she had become one of my dearest friends. I will miss her greatly but take comfort that her legacy will live on and she is resting in peace.

Stephanie and I were always together in grade school and I spent a lot of time at her home. Dianne and Rick said that I was their "second daughter" probably because I would never go home! I admire Dianne for her strength and her love for her daughter and granddaughters. I have great memories of sleepovers, swimming in their pool, and driving to Picton in the Lada for the summer. You will be missed Dianne xo
