With profound sadness, and surrounded by the love of her family, Dianne Carol Hutton Ioannou passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the age of 63, following a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer.
For four and a half years, Dianne faced her illness with extraordinary strength, grace, and quiet determination. Even on the most difficult days, she carried herself with dignity and humour, always showing deep and constant love for those around her. Her resilience and bravery inspired all who had the privilege of standing beside her.
Dianne was the beloved wife of Dan for almost 24 years, his partner in every sense, his greatest supporter, trusted confidante, and the love of his life.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Keith, Linda and her husband Rick, and their daughter Lauren and her husband Matthew, along with their beautiful daughters, Charlotte and Margot. Ian and his wife Denise, and their son Liam, and her late sister Brenda and her late husband Kenny, who lived in Scotland. Brenda and Kenny’s sons, Andrew and his wife Justyna and their daughter Lucy, David and his wife Emily and their boys, Tony and Frankie.
Dianne also held a special place in her heart for Dan’s family. His mother, Dimmy, lovingly known as Mum, his sister Nancy and her husband Gary, and their children Ty and Tristyn, and Tristyn’s husband Jordan, and their beautiful daughter, Raema.
She was a devoted daughter to her late parents, Joan (2001) and Ron (1998), whom she cherished deeply and with whom she is now reunited.
To know Dianne was to know kindness. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Whether through a thoughtful message, a shared laugh, or quiet support during life’s hardest moments, she gave of herself freely. Her smile could brighten any room, and her heart was even brighter.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace. Her love does not end here, it lives on in the memories we hold, the lessons she taught us, and the bonds she helped strengthen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton. A funeral service celebrating Dianne’s life will follow at 12:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
