Born June 3, 1936 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27th surrounded by his family in North York General Hospital after a multi-year battle with a variety of cancers. Of good spirits to the end and grateful for the support of friends and family, especially wife Lois, daughter Christine (Marc), son Paul, wife Karen and grand-children Rick and Jack.
Grateful too for the outstanding efforts of Dr. S. Fineberg and Dr. D. Roitman and the incredibly compassionate staff in 3West at North York General Hospital, family doctor, Dr Curea, and the medical support from Scarborough General Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital.
At his request, there will only be a small private family service.
Friends and family can join a celebration of his life on Saturday, November 17th, from 2 to 4pm, at the Seniors Centre located at 2 Buchan Court, Toronto, ON (near Leslie and Sheppard - 416-756-0066).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in honour of Pat to either NYGH Foundation Freeman Centre for Palliative Care; or, NYGH Seniors Health Centre. (both can be found at www.nygh.on.ca)
