It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Demetre Anagnostaras on January 5, 2025 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Helen and his children Kathy and Mike and son-in law Anthony along with his 3 grandchildren, Julian, Justin and Matthew.

Demetre’s greatest joy came from spending time with family especially with his beloved grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre -1591 Elgin Mills Road East, , Richmond Hill from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday January 9, 2025. A mass will take place at Sts. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church - 11323 Warden Ave, Markham on Friday January 10, 2025 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery
