David Wan

October 14, 1971 - October 25, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David, aged 54, of Toronto, who passed away suddenly on October 25th, 2025.

David was born on October 14th, 1971, in Manchester, England. He was known for his kindness, movie knowledge, comic collection and deep love for his family.

David is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Pui-Wah, his children Jessica Kar-Kei and Celine Kar-Bow.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th, 2025, at 10:30 am at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, M2N 1W7. Private cremation will follow for family only.

Light refreshments will be available after the service at Cafe Landwer, 5000 Yonge Street, North York, M2N 7EN (five minutes walk from York Cemetery).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in David’s memory.

Pui and Family, I am very sorry for your loss and the difficult time you are going through. This is one of the hardest experiences you will ever go through in life. It will be messy and heavy, please give yourselves grace and patience. Grief is not something you work through, its something you learn to live with over time. Life is not fair and I wish you didn't have to go through this pain.
