Passed away peacefully on June 11 at home in Mississauga. Born in Sweetsburg, Quebec in 1926, he grew up in towns south of Montreal, marrying Ann Hewson in 1952 in the village of Lacolle where they met. He is survived by Ann, his older sister Madeleine, and children Doug, Cynthia and Charles, their partners Alison, Craig and Kai, and his grandchildren Toby, Joseph, Lilian and Jesse. He had a long and successful career at a large chemical company in Montreal, Hamilton and Toronto. He volunteered for the Scouts and the United Church. He cared deeply about his family and worked with Ann during his retirement to leave his children a trove of information on their genealogy and history. He had a great sense of humour and was courageous in the face of 50 years of progressing blindness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fighting Blindness Canada.
