Oshawa – David Michael Thompson, 73, of Oshawa, Ontario died October 17th, 2018.

“Dave” Thompson, son of Phyllis Arbourne, passed away peacefully on October 17th at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his son Jeff, daughter-in-law Gisele, brother Shawn, and wife Darlene. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins living in the Oshawa area. Dave worked at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for more than forty years until his retirement in 2001.

He loved riding his bike and later scooter, taking photographs, playing cards, and couldn’t miss his daily Tim Horton’s coffee. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, October 24th at Thornton Cemetery and Cremation Centre with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00, a memorial service at 11:00, and a private burial for immediate family to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the McGill University Research Centre for Studies in Aging.
