In memory of

David John Martin Deyell

April 25, 1959 -  January 14, 2018

It is with monumental sadness that the Deyell family announces David’s passing.
Dave mounted a courageous but mercifully short battle before taking his last precious breath surrounded by family at Mackenzie Health Centre, near his home in Richmond Hill.
Wife Catrina (nee Shelly) and son Cory (Ellie), along with countless extended family members and friends, are shattered to again realize how devastating and rapid this disease can be. David entered the hospital on Christmas morning and sadly didn’t come out.
Predeceased by parents John Seymour (1986) & Eleanor Elizabeth (nee Saunderson) (2011), his sisters Wendy, Judy (Bob, Finley) & Sue (Brigitte, Alexandra, Luke) now must navigate without their big brother and rock. They will miss him deeply.
David was an avid skier and cyclist and will be forever remembered for his quick smile, squinty eyes and easy going manner. His kind, loving heart will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mackenzie Health and David’s company where he worked for 17 years, Armacell, for their compassion and support.
Two services to be held: Saturday January 20 at 5pm-9pm (Visitation) & Sunday January 21 at 2PM (Service)
Location: Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centres, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9 (just west of #404)
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca/en/donate)

I had the pleasure of working and traveling with David over several years. I value our relationship. Throughout ones life you can count on few really good guys. David was of them. A friendly guy, always with a smile, soft-spoken and humble. I shall remember David with fondness. May he rest in peace.

Catriona & Cody:

Please accept our sincerest condolences on the tragic loss of David at such a young age. Given his active lifestyle, we can only imagine how unexpected this was. Unfortunately, we will be out of the country so will not be able to attend the visitation and funeral, but you will be in our thoughts.

I had the pleasure of working with Dave during the last 15 years of my working career with ITP and have great memories of this productive period. I am certain he will be sorely missed by his Armacell colleagues as well.

Sincerely,
Art & Deanna Cyr

Dear Catriona, Cody, Wendy, Judy, and Sue

Please accept my and Claire's deepest and heartfelt condolences. I continued to see David (along with Glen) once or twice a year for the past long number of years and always cherished those times as they were always fun, intelligent, and loving times. I am heart broken by the loss, but as with everyone I love he will cross my mind at least once a day and always travelling back and forth from my brain to my heart and vice versa. Will of course be there at the very least on the Sunday. Thoughts and prayers and much love always, John
