In memory of

David Dean Fockler

January 16, 1957 -  April 28, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of David Fockler has to share of his passing at home, with his loving wife of 28 years at his side on April 28th, 2019.

Left to cherish his memories, his step-son Marc Sturch (Kimberly), step-daughter Leanne Di Leva (John), his grandchildren, Nicholas, Sara, William, and Mary-Lyn, and his great-granddaughter Rowyn.

David's father Dean, his sisters Sue (John), and Diane, his nephew John and his niece Jodi also deeply feel the loss of David's passing.

David dedicated his life's work to the Catholic Children's Aid Society, where his dedication to help children will be truly missed. He was regarded by all in his community as a pillar of strength and was touched by the outpouring of generosity and support of his neighbors as he fought his greatest battle.

Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Funeral Centre on Wednesday May 1, 2019 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m.

His family wishes to thank everyone's heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.

Dave leaves a strong legacy in the child welfare field. He was a great guy, fantastic at his job and very professional. It truly saddens me to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave and his family.

Dave has a special place in my heart. He was a kind soul. I’m so sorry for your family.
My own family is walking in the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada Walk on June 1st and definitely Dave will be on my mind & in my memory.
Brain cancer is such a horrible disease.
I wish you peace in your suffering. His memory will be alive here at the CCAS in the hearts of all that knew him.

My thoughts and prayer will be with the family during this very difficult time. Dave fought hard for 6 years and now his fight is required somewhere else. He was a great colleague and always lent a hand to help others. He will be sadly missed.
