In memory of

David Allan Robson

May 18, 1946 -  August 18, 2024

Surrounded by his family, David Allan Robson passed away on August 18th, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 18th, 1946 in Toronto to parents Russel and Betty Robson. He is survived by his loving wife Linda, beloved children Kathleen, Christine (Christian) and Scott (Ronda), and adored grandchildren Blake, Chloe and Emily.

As a police officer, David dedicated 28 years of service to the (Metropolitan) Toronto Police. David took tremendous pride in serving his community and helped many people as an accident reconstructionist. He also contributed to the training and education of many officers in Toronto and other services by acting as an accident reconstruction instructor.

While walking the beat as a young officer, he met the love of his life, Linda. They married in 1973 and together built a loving family. Faced with a terminal cancer diagnosis, their love and dedication to one another was undeniable and inspirational as Linda cared for him with love and compassion at every turn. David showed love and gratitude for Linda right until the very end. They were given the joy of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary last fall.

David enjoyed a lengthy retirement, and in those years, he nurtured a love of travel, an enthusiasm for gardening, cooking, and watching sports, but his biggest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Nothing gave him greater joy than spoiling them and watching them grow and thrive.

David will be missed terribly, but his memory and love will live on within those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place on Thursday August 22nd at 10am followed by a memorial service at 11am at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

We regret not being able to attend Dave's funeral or offer our condolences to his family in person. We do wish them peace in knowing that he is in a better place and no longer suffering. These words will not take away the sharpness of the pain of loss but know that it will lessen over time and the memory of all the moments shared will bring a smile and an ease to the heart.
God Bless.
