In memory of

David Allan Jeffrey

February 14, 1955 -  May 1, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Jeffrey on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Ottawa.

Loving brother of John (predeceased by his wife Liz), sister Stacey (Warren Leslie), and brother Kevin (Nancy Sawler). Cherished uncle to Ian (Laura Chatelain), Brad (Jules Cowan-Dewar), Laura, Kaitlyn (Matt McMulkin), Sarah (Brendan Kamula), and Brian (Jade Santiago-Leslie ).

David was a Chartered Professional Accountant and retired from Schneider Electric. He was deeply loved by his family, friends, and clients and will be fondly remembered by his cousins in Scotland.

Though David lived in Ottawa he spent much time in Toronto with family and was cherished by many lifelong friends and former colleagues. His presence, laughter, and thoughtful nature will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road Toronto) on Thursday, May 22 at 12:00 p.m., with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I met Dave in 1981 and we worked together for many years. We enjoyed a solid working relationship and we became friends. Dave was a kind, considerate and generous person who would always go out of his way to help. Dave was also very loyal and forgiving. He had a great sense of humour. Rest in peace Dave, you left us in body way too soon but fond memories of you will exist forever.

From Dennis as well as Alison my wife and children Matthew and Kimberly.

Steve and Anita Mason (Longtime friend)

Anita and I met Dave Jeffrey in 1986 when he was suggested by a good friend who had been in an investment club with him. We needed an accountant for year end and taxes for our new construction business. Dave was with BDO at the time, he accepted us as clients. After the first visit we said "we like this guy". To the present day we've never considered anyone else, not for a moment. When he left BDO he kept us as clients, much to our relief.
Over the years he proved his knowledge, transparent honesty and principles over and over again. We not only developed a business relationship we developed a personal one. He watched our children grow up, they're still in touch with him to this day.
Dave became a member of our family. He attended birthdays, anniversaries and countless dinners. He liked the neighbourhood we live in so he bought an old house on our street and he and I designed and built what he wanted to live in. The neighbours took to him quickly and he's enjoyed living here and they've enjoyed his company.
The Mason family will miss him tremendously. He will always be in our hearts.
Thank you for coming into our lives and for the privilege of knowing you Dave.
Steve, Anita, Tara, Cheryl and their families.
