In memory of

Darren Dion David

November 2, 1980 -  June 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family of Darren Dion David announce his sudden passing on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Milton Ontario, at the age of 44.

Darren will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his loving wife, Annelia Ramjeesingh, his children, Ava and Asha, father Anward David, mother Cita David, sister Diana Lee-Sing, in-laws Mohabir and Radika Ramjeesingh, brother-in-laws Ravi (Zoe) Ramjeesingh and Vayka (Eunice) Ramjeesingh. His nieces Priya and Vivienne, and nephews Joshua and George will greatly miss him.

Darren was born on November 2nd, 1980, in Curepe, Trinidad. He moved to Canada at a very young age with his family, setting up his life in Mississauga Ontario. It was here during his high school years at T.L. Kennedy where he met the love of his life, Annelia. He continued his education at York University in Kinesiology before starting his career at Ingram Micro.

Darren’s warm, joyful spirit shone brightly and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His infectious smile and laughter could light up any room and his love for life was never more evident than when he was dancing with family and friends. Darren was the heartbeat of every gathering; genuine, full of energy, and always ready to lift others up. He was the kind of person everyone could count on: steady, supportive, and unfailingly kind. Whether lending a hand, offering comfort, or sharing a perfectly timed joke, Darren brought a sense of joy and ease wherever he went.

Darren was devoted to his family, both to the immediate and extended family. In all of his roles, the one he cherished the most was being a father to his two daughters. Ava and Asha brought him an abundance of joy everyday. The pride he felt for all of their accomplishments and the people they have become is something he openly shared with them. Their bond was truly special, filled with special jokes, bedtime handshakes, and many Marvel movies .

His warmth, his humor, and the steady love he gave so freely will be missed beyond words.

My sincere condolences to his wife and daughters. Darren was a character; joyful, smart, always willing to help out, the best sense of humour and so so very funny. He will be missed.

We are deeply heartbroken by the sudden and tragic loss of Darren and extend our heartfelt condolences to everyone grieving this unimaginable loss.

Though this is such a difficult time, one thing is crystal clear: Darren brought joy wherever he went. He had his magical way of bringing smiles to everyone’s faces (except maybe when that game face came out on the basketball court and the smack talk began; but even then, it still made us laugh).

At family weddings or gatherings, we always knew if we couldn't find Leon where to look - on the dancefloor with Darren! Darren always brought the energy that made the whole celebration come alive.

Darren was taken far too soon, but he leaves behind an unforgettable legacy of laughter, love, and pure light. His spirit will live on in every story shared and every dancefloor filled with joy.

With love and deepest sympathy,
Ceyda, Leon, Olivia & Elias

Such a lovely person who did literally light up a room and who was so kind and supportive. Taken far too young but his spirit will live on through his family
