In memory of

Daniel Wing Yue Too

November 27, 1928 -  July 25, 2023

We are heartbroken to share about the death of our father. He passed away peacefully at the age of 94, surrounded by family singing hymns, reading scripture and praying with him.

Rev. Daniel Wing Yue Too. November 27, 1928 – July 25, 2023. Beloved husband of Helen Oi-Chun Too for 58 years. Loving father of Colleen Too (Daniel Shiu), Phebe (Mel) Hum, Carolyn (Will) Leung, Joyce (Sidd) Puri. Dearest grandfather of Andrew Hum, Evan Hum, Nathan Hum, Topher Puri and Jasmine Puri.

Rev. Too grew up in Cheung Chau, an island of Hong Kong. He attended seminary in Hong Kong and moved to Toronto in 1958 to attend Ontario Bible College while serving at the Chinese Presbyterian Church. After five years of long-distance correspondence, he married Helen in 1965 in Canada. Together, they raised 4 loving daughters.

With his love and dedication to serving Christ, he, along with two other families, founded Agincourt Chinese Baptist Church in 1978, which later became Bridle Trail Baptist Church. While serving as the pastor for the church, he worked as a full-time graphics platemaker. He had a passion for photography, classical music, and fishing, which he enthusiastically shared with his family, and he particularly loved to travel with his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday August 18 from 4pm-8pm at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road, Richmond Hill.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19 from 10am-11:30am at Bridle Trail Baptist Church, 10 Waterbridge Lane.

Reception to follow the Interment. All are welcome to attend.

Flower donations can be delivered to Bridle Trail Baptist Church on Friday, August 18th from 1pm-5pm. Thank you!

Dear Mrs Too, Colleen, Phebe, Carolyn and Joyce,
Our hearts grieve with you over the passing of your beloved husband/father. Your family was instrumental in so many ways to my coming to faith, through Reverend Too’s pastoral teaching and the friendship of the Too girls. I look back on those times as a newbie coming to church and youth fellowship with fond memories gratefulness.

Peace and comfort be yours in Christ.
