Daisy Wilk (Pappas) passed away at home in Toronto on Saturday October 14, 2023, surrounded by family after a 6-year battle with cancer at the age of 59. Beloved wife of Mark and cherished mother of Lauren, Christopher and Ryan, Daisy became a full time Mom after 27 years with Bank of Montreal.

Daisy was born in Toronto to George, predeceased in 2019, and Peggy Pappas, with brother to Perry. Loving aunt to Kalin, Matthew and Nathan, and “Theia” to many of her cousins’ children, Daisy will be remembered for her easy smile and love for everyone. That love extended to the neighbourhood dogs which would frequently visit for a pet and dog cookies.

Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, located at 625 Birchmount Rd., (north of St. Clair Ave. E.) Scarborough, (416-267-8229) on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 4 - 8 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 11 A.M. at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, with a reception to follow at the Crystal Fountain, located at 60 McDowell Gate, Markham, Ontario. The family would like to thank the tireless and hardworking team at the Odette Cancer Centre including Drs. Suzanna Cheng, Harvey Wong, Lise Jennifer Huynh, Jordan Zeppieri, Lee Fidler, and Mary Tsao. Special thanks go to the kind and supportive nurses in the chemotherapy department at Odette. We would also like to thank Dr. Jennifer Arvanitis of the Temmy Latner Centre of Mount Sinai for her support of Daisy at home with her end-of-life care.
