Daisy & I lived in the same neighborhood in Hong Kong. We went to the same school & university before immigration. She revealed that she had cancer and my last email to her didn't get a reply. She was a truly my good friend. Even though with memory of good time we spent together, I will miss her.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Daisy was a beautiful person, whom we will miss. Our family knew Daisy through Rexdale Alliance Church. She was always eagerly and happily serving and helping somewhere it seemed. We used to see her every Sunday when she ushered at church. But we also saw her in the kitchen and other areas of the church. I loved her no nonsense, practical side, and I actually regularly am reminded of her and follow the wisdom she gave us one day at the church. I had a group of kids getting freezies in the kitchen, and they were cutting the ends off the freezies to open them. They were doing this over the counter, so the ends to discard would fall on the counter and we could gather them up and put them in the garbage. She intervened – “no, no, don’t do it over the counter – do it over the garbage can. Then you save yourself a step and don’t have to wipe up the counter.” Brilliant insight. Still today I find myself thinking of her in things I do and asking – could I do this more directly and save myself a step? Grateful to have known such a special woman of God.
