Our Loving Father, Craig Lattanville
We thank our friends and family for joining us today not to mourn, but to celebrate the life of an amazing man.
Our loving father, Craig Lattanville, was loved by so many people. He was a genuine, loving, caring, intelligent, giving, and supporting man. He was born in East York and mostly grew up in Brampton, Ontario. He is survived by four children, Cameron Lattanville (28), Brianne Lattanville (26), Destiny Lattanville (20) and Faith Lattanville (16), whom he loved with his whole existence.
Craig loved working; he did everything in his power to provide for his children. He was a textbook business man, and we all admired his drive, determination and passion for success. Craig was an owner of Canadian Tire, where he took pride in his work, his staff and most importantly the friends he made through the company that became family.
Craig made a positive impact anywhere he went. In particular, he left roots in Trail, BC where he made friends for life, had a positive impact on the community and created a home wherever his children were. Craig enjoyed golfing, watching sports, spending time at Christina Lake, BC with his family and friends, and smoking a good cigar with his friends while they chatted about life.
Craig always brought smiles to faces, the best advice to those in need, and a laugh to light up the room. He had many ups and downs in life, but he never let it get the best of him. Craig had the best poker face; he always made sure those around him were safe, happy and taken care of despite what he may have been going through. This summer (2021) was one of the most memorable. This was the summer that our dad spent most of his time at Christina Lake where he went boating with his kids and made many everlasting memories with his dearest friends. I also remember Christmas of 2018, where all of the kids got together with dad and spent quality time with him; snowshoeing, sledding, sitting by the fire, talking about memories from our childhood and reminiscing on the good ol’ days.
He instilled honesty, respect, courage and to be fearless in his children. If you knew our father, you’d know that he is our biggest supporter, our best friend, and our guide through life. We are heartbroken that he was taken from us too soon. He left us with bravery, strength and resilience and he will be forever in our hearts.
Dad, you will forever be our protector and guiding light. You never left our side, supported us through everything, and created a wonderful life for us and for that we thank you. Words cannot express how much we will miss you, how much we love you and how proud we are of you. Dad, I’m not sure what our future holds for us, but I know that you will be there with us through every step we take. We love you beyond words.

I am so saddened to hear of your fathers passing. You forever talked about him and all the amazing stories of the times you had together and i am blessed that i was able to hear a few of these experiences. I wish that i could have had the opportunity to meet your amazing dad. From knowing you I can see clearly how great of a job he did raising you as your the kindest, most compassionate, strongest girl i know. You were always on the phone talking no matter the hour or where ether of you were! A relationship truly like no other and i completely admire it. He will forever be walking by your side, continuing to give you that million dollar advise in the back of your head and be there when your down. It is never goodbye, just a see you later. I am
keeping your whole family in my thoughts and prayers during this extraordinary difficult time. So much love,
xoxo Lou (Alora)
