In memory of

Larry Ernst

May 28, 1944 -  January 14, 2018

Ernst, Larry 73, entered Heavens gate on Sunday January 14th, 2018, at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Larry was born May 28th 1944 in Holland. He is the late son of Willem and Cora Ernst.
In the 1950’s the Ernst family relocated to Toronto, Ontario Canada, where they laid down their family roots.
Larry loved the outdoors. He loved the boathouse with his family, taking the time to enjoy nature at its best, relaxing and boating. He thoroughly enjoyed boats, no matter what the size, they always captured a spark in his soul.
Larry was the owner operator of LBW Dye and Tooling, where he shined as a Mechanical Architect. In his retirement years you would find Larry fiddling around in his garage or spending time with his loving wife, family and his two dogs Bentley and Dakota.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Jenny, along with his 3 children Tammy and Carmelo of Pickering, Richard and Ana Lee of St. Catherine’s, Wendy and Kevin of Oregon. His 5 grandchildren Michael, Karli, Mikayla, Jaden and Kaleb. His mother in Law Ann.
Memorial services for Larry will be held between 6-8 pm on Tuesday January 23, 2018. At The Simple Alternative Funeral Centers. 1057 Brock Rd. Pickering
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society.

I had the pleasure of meeting Larry and Jenny camping in Kingston Ontario back in 1976 (or so.) We became instant friends and shared many more adventures with them. Larry was such a kind, gentle man that could always make me laugh. He raised three awesome kids and loved his beautiful wife Jenny with all his heart. I only wish we could have lived closer and spent more time together. Rest in peace my friend, you will forever be loved and remembered.
