In memory of

Cora Moore

May 23, 1933 -  January 22, 2017

Early Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Michael Garron East General Hospital, Cora passed peacefully from this life ending a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She lived life on her own terms, fiercely and passionately. She was a talented and creative force, loving to teach her children and others, and always singing her heart out along the way. She did everything possible to engender a well-roundedness in her children. Having emigrated from Malta in 1953, she fell in love with the lushness and diversity of Canada.
She will be sadly missed by her children Ken, John (Kelly), Marina, David, Robert, and Andrea (Rob); her grandchildren Fergus, Josh, Owen, Toby and Serena; her surviving sisters Josette, Sandra and Marie; nephews Roger, Michael, Jack; nieces Erika, Ruth and Francesca; grand-nephew George and grand-nieces Lara, Hannah, and Julia, as well as a wealth of friends, neighbours, and so many others whose lives she touched daily until the end.
A visitation will take place at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Saturday, January 28th at 9 a.m. with Words or Remembrance at 10 a.m. Interment to follow. Donations can be made to AIDS Committee of Toronto, Canadian Mental Health Association, Catholic Children’s Aid Society and Sick Kids Hospital.

Cora was such a "life light" in this sometimes dim world of ours. She was my dear neighbour for a time and we developed a strong and lasting friendship over the years (even though I moved away some time ago). I am grateful that I was able to get to know Cora and so glad that I was able to visit with her a few times during this last year.....I will miss her dearly. To Cora's family - I loved your Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
