My sincere condolences for the passing of Ernie's daughter. I did not know Connie, but I did know that she was loved by her father. I am sure Connie is being welcomed into the arms of family members whom have passed before her.
Condolances to all Herman extended family
I will miss my beautiful sister Connie until we again meet on the other side of life. Connie was the eldest and the motherly boss over the rest of us (Ciss, Ron, Chris) growing up. Our uncles Doug and Jerry were our age and like siblings and many weekends were spent over at our grandmother Nanny's (Rose Marie Dahlia Bellerose Landry Teeple) house as kids in Atikokan Ontario. Connie was a trail blazer growing up, first trying to leave home at 9 years old to go to Hollywood. Made it as far as Fort Francis. She pitched for the Atikokan Lucky Strikes baseball team and won the league championship. Then off to Logan Lake where she fell in with a wonderful group of friends, especially Lori Valin and was involved in the Teen Council for the small town arranging dances with live bands and also competing in the Logan Lake Carnival Queen which our sister Ciss won. She worked at the local hotel, front desk clerk and moved out on her own at 16. Very strong willed. She went on to work at Afton mines, Kamloops, Highmont mines in Logan Lake where she met Marty Herman, her one and only husband. Connie had three wonderful girls Tavannah, Bailey and Amber. Four beautiful grandchildren Elyssa, Soleil, Logan and Colton all of whom she loved dearly. Her nieces Kaij, Wendy, Holly, Casey, Storrie and Gracie must also be mentioned as she loved us all. Connie worked at LCBO for most of her life. The Herman Davison family was always there for Connie throughout the years, so it important to mention Marie, Murray, Colin, Laurie, Randa, Scott and John. Years later, Connie would be single again in Apsley where she managed a LCBO liquor store. Logan, Connie and myself spent a few days just at the local beach swimming and playing in the mud with fireworks at night. She loved riding motorcycle with Terry, survived a few accidents, and finally retired close to her kids/grandkids all of whom she was very proud with all her heart. I am very saddened to see my sister make her final journey, but I know I will see her again in my dreams and one day walking with Lord in the after life. Till then sleep peacefully.
So sorry for your loss may she rest in Peace
I remember when I was little, Conni threw a birthday party for me in her apartment in Kamloops with all me best friends. she made a cake from scratch in the shape of a clown. It is one of my fondest memories. I remember her on roller skates at the A&W in Kamloops to. She was happy. The day she told me I was going to Be an Uncle for the first time made me super happy. She blessed me with 3 wonderful nieces. She is so proud of all three of you and all her grandchildren. I will miss you sister..
