Concetta Casciato

October 22, 1945 - September 22, 2022

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Concetta Casciato (née Ficcaglia) on Thursday September 22, at her home in Toronto Ontario. She will be missed by her husband Germano, her children, her grandchildren, her brother and his family, her cousins as well as many close family members and friends. Concetta was an avid gardener, creative homemaker, traveler, and memory maker. It comforts us to know that she lived a full life, and that she was loved by so many people.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25th from 1:00 - 3:00 and 4:00 - 6:00 pm at York Funeral Centre. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Edward the Confessor at 75 Churchill Avenue in North York on Monday, September 26th at 12:15pm followed by a reception. A private family burial will occur at a later date. In lieu of floral tributes, the Casciato family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to Canadian Cancer Society in Concetta’s memory. The Casciato family greatly appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.

Cari Germano e famiglia intera,
vi siamo vicini in questo difficile momento. Concetta e' stata una donna speciale, piena di risorse, energia, voglia di divertirsi con la musica, i viaggi, il giardinaggio, le feste... e aveva un cuore grande, sempre pronta ad aprire la casa e allargare la tavola agli amici. Si ricordava con Germano delle ricorrenze anche della nostra famiglia, e insieme ci riempivano di dolci che avevano preparato insieme e ci facevano sentire speciali e parte della loro famiglia. La ricordiamo con tanto tanto affetto e sarà per sempre un'ispirazione per l'energia con cui ha vissuto la vita, e anche per come ha affrontato la malattia con coraggio e condivisione.
Ci manchera' moltissimo. Siete nelle nostre preghiere e vi abbracciamo tutti forte.
