In memory of

Christopher Parker

December 23, 1966 -  January 5, 2018

We are saddened to announce the untimely passing of Christopher Charles Parker on January 5, 2018. Chris left this world and our family as he had entered it…prematurely.

Chris was born (weighing only 3 lbs., 9 oz.) on December 23, 1966 to Margery (Cobb) Parker and Michael A. Parker. He was the youngest of his siblings, Maureen Whaley, Michael (Karen) Parker, Patricia (Craig) Robinson, and Nelson Parker.
He will be missed by his 9 nieces and nephews and his 13 great nieces and nephews, as well as his dear friends Maddy and Gina. Christopher was dearly loved by his childhood caretaker Onie (Iona Johnston) Fieldhouse, his Aunts Helen and Sue, and his many cousins and their families.

Chris attended Brighton Public School and East Northumberland Secondary School, before he left for Seneca College, and the more vibrant life of Toronto.

Chris had a varied and interesting career. He worked first in retail, then as a successful hair dresser. He then took his administrative skills to the Registrar’s Office of the Law Society. Following that, he entered the banking world, and then studied at Herzing College and became a licensed paralegal. Chris was working at Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada when he passed away.

Chris loved fashion, old movies, Joan Crawford, and in recent years, had discovered a passion for travel.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre at 375 Mt. Pleasant Road, Toronto, on Saturday February 3rd from 1-4 pm. Visitation will be at 1 pm, remarks at 2:15 pm.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Fife House in Toronto, fifehouse.org.
Rest in peace Chris…we love you.

We were shocked and saddened to hear that Chris died. We will miss for a number of reasons, but mostly because he was just so much fun to be around. Our world will be a little less bright now that Chris is gone.

I had the good fortune to meet and work with Christopher when I joined IIROC a year ago.

We worked on a project together which is just coming to fruition now and I am deeply saddened by his passing, but thankful for his humour and sparkle and grateful to have known him.

Rest in peace Christopher, we will remember you.
