Christopher David Innes

October 6, 1941 -  June 19, 2017

Dr. Christopher David Innes (75) passed away unexpectedly on Monday June 19. He was a Distinguished Research Professor, held a senior Canada Research Chair, and at the time of his death he was the incumbent of a York Research Chair. A world-renowned scholar, author of sixteen books, he remained energetically active and engaged in cutting-edge research until the very end of his life. He played founding roles in York's graduate programs in Interdisciplinary Studies and Theatre Studies. Mourned by his wife Brigitte Bogar, who tenderly cared for him at home to the end, exactly as he wished. Survived by his former spouse Eva, his son Alexander and three grandsons, two sisters and a younger brother.

Both visitation at 2 pm and funeral service at 3 pm on Sunday June 25th at St. Aidans Church in the Beach, Queen St. E. at 70 Silver Birch Ave. Memorial Martinis to follow at home, as he wished.
