In memory of

Christina Psarianos

February 20, 1932 -  May 3, 2023

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Christina Psarianos, passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2023 at the age of 91 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Dimitrios; sons Lucas (Penelope) and Peter (Jacqueline), and grandchildren Pamela, Demetri, Andrew, and Thomas.

Christina was born in Μεσολόγγι (Messolonghi), Greece on February 20th, 1932. She lived in Greece until 1967, when she moved to Toronto with her husband and sons. She was an accomplished seamstress of many years who always took pride in her craft. She will be remembered for her impeccable attention to detail in her work, her home, and especially in the kitchen, where she was known for making the absolute best Greek pastitsio, kourambiedes and melomakarona. Christina's generous and giving nature will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Christina's team at the Baycrest Apotex Centre who dedicated themselves so lovingly to her care. If you wish to leave a donation, please consider donating to the Baycrest Foundation in support of the hospital and research programs. Link: https://baycrestfoundation.crowdchange.ca/28140/donate

Penny, wishing you and your family much love and my deepest condolences. Ninety plus years is a long time, and lives can get pretty complicated. From what I can see, this life created some pretty awesome other lives.

To Penny and family,

I was very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother-in-law. She sounded like a wonderful, loving "Yiayia" and I'm sure you will miss her presence greatly. May you always find comfort in your memories of her and may the love she shared and the wisdom she gave to you continue to guide you throughout your lives. Please accept my deepest condolences.

With sympathy,
Tanya Bunda and family

I had only a few interactions with Christine when Peter and I went to College together. I would spend time at the family home and be always made to feel welcome. I got to know Peter's Girlfriend Jackie and Peter's brother Lucas. Years passed and I lost connection to the family until one day I ran into Peter by chance and he invited me to his Wedding to Jackie where I once again had an opportunity to talk to Christine, but I only knew her as Mrs. Psarianos. My thoughts and prayers are with the family now. It is time that everyone comes to celebrate Christine's life and reflect on her great life. Remember the family times, the words, a warm embrace, the food.....yes the food.
