Chiu Ming Kwong, February 17, 1953 – October 10, 2024, beloved husband, loving father, grandfather, dear brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 71. He is survived by his mother, Dun Sau Kwong.
Beloved husband of 46 years to Helen (nee Lee), loving father of Nellie (Alvin) and Nelson (Betty), grandfather to Nathan, Sebastian and Lewis, uncle to Luke, Madeline and Angie. Chiu Ming was the eldest of 3 siblings, Vivian (Stephen) and Lloyd (Sophy).
Chiu came to Canada at the young age of 14 years old from Hong Kong. After retiring from a long career as a computer analyst at the University of Toronto, Chiu enjoyed travelling, playing ping pong, watching Formula One Racing, tinkering with his High-Fi Audio equipment and watching the Leafs play. All his life, his main concern has always been the well being of his family, and taking care of his family.
Chiu will be missed by all who knew him and loved his quiet and softspoken gentleness and kindness. His closest friends and family will also miss his wonderful sense of humour. He is now with his Dad up in heaven, waiting for all of us.
