In memory of

Chi Nui So

December 12, 1917 -  April 25, 2023

Chi Nui So passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023 at the age of 105. She is predeceased by her son Vincent Ip. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Nancy, her grandchildren, Kitty, Vivian (Hesham), and Tim (Catherine) and five great grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Jalyn, Keenan, and Griffen.

Chi Nui was born in Guangdong, China and immigrated to Canada in 1979. She was a strong and independent woman and in the last few years, shared laughter and stories at the Mon Shoeng home on D’Arcy Street in downtown Toronto. Even as a centenarian, she used her walker to stroll the floor. Her endurance and willpower are an inspiration to us all.

Our deepest gratitude for the compassionate care she received at Mon Sheong. There will be a private family service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mon Sheong Foundation are welcome: Monsheong.org
